Well we have been home now for a week or so . Still trying to get the dust out of the van .
We have started getting things happening for next year . Planning to go away in March for
about six months . Will go south through NSW , Victoria and then across the Nullabor to W.A .
Up the west coast to Darwin then across to our favourite fishing hole at Batten Point . We met a couple on the way home who are looking for a long term house sit next year . Should work out
well . We are upgrading the ute to an Iveco truck , then we can carry much more junk . So for those who followed my ramblings , cheers til next year .

2pm Tues
Here we are at the old township of Mary Kathleen, came in for lunch and decided to stay the night . The town was abandoned in1984 after the uranium mine closed .All that is left now are a few bitumen streets and all the concrete slabs from the buildings . No facilities at all , but a fantastic free camp , lots of shade under leafy gums and plenty flat sites , can just hear the road noise. We left Batten Point 9am Monday, drove 28ks turned left , then drove 138ks to Cape Crawford turned left , then drove 373ks to Barkly Homestead of which 125ks was one property
turned left , then drove 278ks to Camooweal . Then today 189ks to Mt Isa , turned left , then drove 60ks to Mary Kathleen turned left into old township . Tomorrow after 75ks we get to use the right indicator . So that was 1167ks all left turns .

Holy Dooly what a change in the weather .We have had down to about 7c overnight since we have been here ,nothing over about 10 c , then bingo last night 19 c and 37c today with high humidity. So water temp has shot up and fish are on the chew . Beverley got a 75 cm barra yesterday on her new birthday fishing rod and another one this morning . I got two this morning as well . So freezer in the van fridge is chockers with barra filets plus a few other ones . So that's the end of fishing as our 12volt freezer stopped working when we got here , so we will probably wander home early next week . Dreading the packing up

still doing it tough

Still haven't increased the fish catch . Has been very windy the last couple
of days  , gusts up to 30 knots which blows a bit of dust around . Looks like the wind might be around for a couple more days . One good thing is that we have put up the aerial for the phone finally
and have good 4G reception and able to hot spot the laptop so I can play on the internet . Going
to try to add some photos again .

  62cm barra , 2x55cm queenfish , 1x 42cm mangrove jack
